Liverpool are hot favourites to land Rasmus Elm - the £7million-rated AZ Alkmaar midfielder.

The Sweden international will be heading to the Euros later this summer where he will face England in Kiev on June 15.

Elm played for Sweden in the friendly against the England at Wembley last November and has scored 13 times in 36 games for Alkmaar this term.

He has one year left on his contract at Alkmaar and Liverpool boss Kenny Dalglish is planning to swoop for the free-kick specialist who is also being tracked by Newcastle.
