Cole not on Spurs shopping list

talkSPORT understands Liverpool midfielder Joe Cole will not be joining Tottenham this summer.

Cole, 29, has fallen out of favour on Merseyside since the arrival of Kenny Dalglish in January but will not be making to move to White Hart Lane.

It's understood that Spurs will instead be looking to trim the squad after failing to reach the Champions League this season.

The England winger has endured a torrid time at Anfield since his arrival from Chelsea on a free transfer last summer and has only made nine starts for the Reds this season.

A source close to Tottenham, who were one of many clubs to pursue Cole last year, has stated that he is not amongst their list of summer targets though.
