Former Chelsea striker Salomon Kalou is reportedly looking to return to the Premier League, with Liverpool ready to move.

The experienced 28-year-old Ivory Coast international would add some quality to any squad and Rodgers is not alone in looking at the Lille frontman.

Both Roma in Italy and Besiktas in Turkey have also been linked with a £2m move, while north London giants Tottenham and Arsenal have also been credited with a link.

With the race for Champions League places likely to go down to the final few weeks of the season the addition of quality players in January could be crucial for Rodgers and Kalou could prove to be a useful addition.
