Liverpool have agreed a fee with Celta Vigo for forward Iago Aspas, with the Spaniard set to meet Reds' officials for talks.
Reports in Spain suggest the 25-year-old, who has scored 60 goals in 130 appearances, will cost Liverpool in the region of £7.5million if personal terms are agreed.
Aspas has been a target for several top European clubs, including Chelsea and Tottenham, but Brendan Rodgers has moved quickly, before the end of the La Liga season, to try and secure a deal.
Rodgers, who has already sealed a deal for free agent Kolo Toure, has been keen to further bolster his attacking options and Aspas will offer something different going forward.
Celta could be relegated this weekend with Aspas' side currently in the relegation zone, one point adrift of fourth-bottom Deportivo La Coruna, ahead of a home clash with Espanyol on Sunday.
