Malaga playmaker Manuel Iturra has been linked with a summer move to Liverpool as Brendan Rodgers looks for midfield reinforcements.
The Reds' bid for a top four Premier League finish this season was hit when they slipped to a 2-0 home defeat to West Brom on Monday and Rodgers is believed to be scouring Europe for the top talent that he believes can improve his squad going forward.
Iturra, 28, is a player on the club's radar apparently and he is keen for a move away from Malaga, with reports suggesting he has turned down a new contract offer and could hand in a transfer request at the end of the season.
It is thought Malaga, who have financial problems ahead of the introduction of UEFA's Financial Fair Play rules, would be prepared to let the Chile international go for as little as £3million - and that is a figure Liverpool would be willing to pay for Iturra's services.
Iturra has made 18 appearances for Malaga this season, but is yet to score for the Spanish side.
