Liverpool have reportedly set their sights on Lazio midfielder Hernanes according to talkSPORT.
Anfield boss Brendan Rodgers may well be looking to add more creativity to his midfield but has been told that it would take a bid in excess of £15m to land the 28 year old Brazilian international, who is into his fourth season at the Stadio Olimpico.
Lazio president Claudio Lotito has stated that only a big offer would stand any chance to land the former Sao Paulo man:
"I do not want to sell him, we will have to receive an indecent offer - £15m will not be enough."
Hernanes has been a mainstay of the Lazio side since moving to the Italian capital in August 2010, a constant attacking threat who has racked up 40 goals in 154 appearances for the Serie A side.
Rodgers may well wish to bring in Hernanes as a long term replacement for Steven Gerrard and the presence of national team colleagues Lucas Leiva and Coutinho could perhaps help his cause.
Lazio sit in ninth spot in Serie A, some way off a possible Champions League berth, and if Liverpool were to secure a spot in the coveted competition then perhaps a summer move would be a possibility.
