Liverpool will fight it out among a host of interested parties in pursuit of Benfica winger Eduardo Salvio according to the Daily Express.

Brendan Rodgers has sent scouts to monitor the Argentine international who has also attracted the attention of representatives of Man United, AC Milan, Hamburg and AS Monaco.

Salvio's Primeira Liga employers have slapped a fairly inflated £34m valuation on the 24-year-old which may well lead to Liverpool looking elsewhere.
