Liverpool have reportedly made contact with Barcelona with Anfield boss Brendan Rodgers lining up an ambitious move for Brazilian wing-back Dani Alves according to Football Direct News.
The experienced wide-man is strongly linked with a Nou Camp exit this summer with PSG said to be the favourites to land the 30 year old but Rodgers hopes to tempt the attack minded right-back into making a move to the Premier League.
Liverpool are also said to be keen on youngster Cristian Tello, a target that may prove more likely to make the switch from the La Liga side to Merseyside.
Alves has just over a year to run on his current contract and is said to be valued at £15m.
