Jamie Carragher has hailed the new Kenny Dalglish factor at Liverpool after the Reds eased past Chelsea.
The defender was in imperious form at Stamford Bridge helping his side record a famous 1-0 win at the home of the Premier League champions.
It was Carragher's first match back since dislocating his shoulder in November against Tottenham and he impressed alongside Martin Skrtel and Daniel Agger.
The 33-year-old paid tribute to the instant impact Dalglish has had since taking the caretaker manager role last month.
He said: "What Kenny's done has got the club all as one, supporters are behind everything and that helps that the players and supporters are that together.
"It wasn't like that at the start of the season unfortunately for Roy Hodgson, but Kenny coming in has galvanised the supporters who are behind the team again.
"His record as a manager is fantastic, one of the top managers around, he's won four championships
"But it's hard to put your finger on, and say this manager is doing something different or that it's better.
"That's disrespectful, but it's going well at the moment and so we'll enjoy that."
Carragher was pitted against recent Anfield departure Fernando Torres, and the defender was one of the main reasons the £50m made little impact.
He added: "It was very difficult against Fernando, I've played against him in training, he's a fantastic player. Him and Drogba are two of the best strikers in the world, so it was difficult, but it was a team effort to stop them two.
"It's not something you want to do every week because they're two fantastic players."
Liverpool move up to sixth spot as they start to consider the possibility of grabbing a Champions League spot.
Carragher is now looking forward to the prospect of £35m striker Andy Carroll and £22.8m Luis Suarez forming a new Red strikeforce.
But he has urged his colleagues not to get too excited about the club's first win at Chelsea since 2008 when Xabi Alonso grabbed the winner.
He added: "Time will tell if we've come out of transfer window stronger, and how we'll be talking about who got the better end of the deal.
"For us, if Torres does well at Chelsea, good luck to him, as long as he doesn't play well against us!
"We've got to focus on what Carroll and Suarez can do for us, I'm sure they can be great signings.
"At Liverpool most games you're expected to win, so can't get too carried away as the standards here are so high."
