Liverpool and Arsenal are in touch with Barcelona over signing unwanted forward Bojan.
The 20-year-old is keen to leave the European champions after a frustrating season consisting largely of substitute appearances.
Liverpool would consider spending £17million and could try to do a double deal involving Bojan's team-mate Jeffren, another forward set to slip further down the pecking order when Barcelona manager Pep Guardiola finalises a deal for Giuseppe Rossi from Villarreal.
Arsenal are also interested in former Birmingham midfielder and free agent Sebastian Larsson, 25. Blackburn, Sunderland and Newcastle have also made offers.
Midfielder Joe Cole is leaning towards staying at Anfield. Liverpool are willing to offload the 29-year-old for around £3m but he would have to prove his fitness.
