Alberto Aquilani's agent still believes Juventus will agree a deal with Liverpool to sign the midfielder on a permanent basis.
The Serie A outfit's acquisition of Italy international Andrea Pirlo from AC Milan has led to suggestions they are ready to give up on Aquilani.
Juve, who failed to qualify for Europe after finishing seventh, had the option of signing the 26-year-old for £14million after the end of his successful season-long loan spell.
They weren't willing to pay that price and the deadline expired last weekend. However, agent Franco Zavaglia remains confident a compromise fee with the Reds will be reached.
Zavaglia said: "The percentage that Aquilani will remain at Juve is above 50 per cent.
"He has three years left on his contract with Liverpool. I believe that in a couple of days the two clubs will reach an agreement.
"Juve should have paid 16 million euros for the buy-out clause but I don't think there will be any problems regarding the financial aspects.
"I believe within the next week everything will be resolved."
