Chelsea, Manchester City and Liverpool have been given the green light to move for Sergio Aguero, after the Atletico Madrid president claimed the striker would not be sold to rivals Real.
The 22-year-old forward has informed the club of his desire to quit the Vincente Calderon, and the Blues, City and Liverpool as well as Juventus are all believed to be vying for his signature.
Early reports suggested the Argentinian was already set to join Jose Mourinho's men because he wanted to remain in Spain.
But the three English giants have all had their interest rekindled after Atletico chief Miguel Angel Gil Marin claimed he has assurances from his opposite number at Real that Aguero will not be moving to the Bernabeu.
Marin said: '[Florentino] Perez has told me he has no intention of signing Aguero and I do not doubt him.
'Firstly due to the good relationship we have personally, and secondly due to the clubs' relationship.'
Any offer of £39million would trigger a release clause in Aguero's contract, meaning Atletico would be powerless to stop him moving to whoever is coughing up the cash.
