Alberto Aquilani's agent is set to ask Liverpool to lower their asking price for the midfielder in a bid to seal his permanent switch to Juventus.
The Kop flop, who cost Liverpool £17m from Roma in 2009, has spent the whole season on loan at Juventus after failing to establish himself at Anfield.
Juventus and Liverpool agreed a buy-out fee of £14m, payable over three years, for the midfielder should the Serie A side decide to keep him permanently this summer - but they must make their decision by May 15th.
But, according to sources in Italy, Juventus are not willing to pay such a high price for the 26-year-old and will not meet Sunday's deadline.
But it has now been reported that Aquilani's representative Franco Zavala is set to meet Liverpool officials to request a lower price for his client, who is keen to stay in Turin.
