Liverpool were forced to settle for a 0-0 draw in Sunday's clash against Everton at Anfield - but one man stole the show with a typically-ferocious Merseyside derby display.

Steven Gerrard took the fight to the Blues from the first whistle to the last.

He thundered into challenges against Marouane Fellaini and Leon Osman, sprayed sumptuous 50-yard passes into the path of Daniel Sturridge and was denied a goal only by some staunch Everton defending.
