Former Liverpool full-back Steve Finnan has completed a move to Portsmouth.
The 33-year-old has signed an initial one-year deal at Fratton Park with the option of a further extension after he was released from his contract with La Liga club Espanyol earlier this week.
Portsmouth boss Paul Hart said: "It whetted my appetite to think that we could get a player of Steve's calibre here.
"He's really looking forward to coming here and we're looking forward to seeing him play."
The Republic of Ireland international made 217 appearances for Liverpool following his transfer from Fulham in the summer of 2003.
He started the 2005 Champions League final in Istanbul, before helping the Reds to an FA Cup triumph a year later.
Finnan brought his five-year Anfield career to a close last August by joining Espanyol, who Liverpool will face in a pre-season friendly in Spain on Sunday evening - a match you can watch live only on Liverpoolfc.tv.
