No.9: Steve Nicol v Newcastle (St James' Park, September 1987)

All the talk was of Brazilian striker Mirandinha making his home debut for the Geordies, but Chico stole the show with a scintillating three-goal display in front of the live TV cameras. His goals helped the Reds to a 4-1 triumph and maintained their unbeaten start to what would be a record-breaking season.
