Liverpool host Real Madrid in what promises to be a truly memorable Anfield occasion on Wednesday night - and in anticipation, we've decided to count down our 10 greatest wins over Spanish sides.

The Reds have faced Madrid three times in their history and on each occasion emerged victorious. Bob Paisley's men won the European Cup against Los Blancos in 1981, while Rafael Benitez's side beat them twice in 2009.

But where do those victories against the Spanish giants rank alongside equally famous wins over the likes of Barcelona and others throughout Liverpool's illustrious past? Our Kop 10 attempts to find out.
