Neil Kerr played in Liverpool's forward-line on 12 occasions during the club's first-ever season in the First Division, 1894-95, having been promoted from the Second Division as champions at the end of their inaugural Football League season.

But it was not a happy time for the club as they failed to cope with the top division and were immediately relegated.

Neil scored three times in those 12 matches.
