Michael Stensgaard was a Danish goalkeeper signed by Roy Evans as cover for David James.

His claim to fame in Liverpool's history was that he managed to injure his shoulder seriously while taking out his ironing board at his home! He didn't fully recover from this bizarre injury. He was a regular in Denmark's Under-21 international side when he was bought from Hvidovre.
