David Murray was a full-back who played for Liverpool in the first decade of the 20th century. Twelve of his 15 league appearances for the club came in the 1904-05 season, the year in which Liverpool claimed the Second Division title. But David only played three more times the following season when Liverpool stormed to the First Division championship, eventually finishing four points clear of runners-up Preston North End.
